Beautiful Moments

Hallo zusammen,

Hi all,
nice to have you here again!
Today I want to share a canvas with you.

For my last LO I used a wedding photo of my grandparents. As I told you, my Dad gave some old pictures to me, there was not only a photo of the wedding couple, but also of the wedding party! I really love these photos and wanted to scrap this one too. I had so much fun!

At ARTastic Challenge Blog they want us to use photos, which are older than 30 years - well, the one I used, is 85 years old, I think that will be o.k. (:o).

I worked after the stunning sketch from the october challenge at Cést Magnifique kit club.

In the color design I worked according to the guidelines of the challenge at Mixed Media Place "Creative Gym - Exercise # 1" The talented Tusia Lech has set the topic: Use black, white, grey and one more color - I used shades of purple
Hier ist meine Leinwand:
Here is my canvas:

Hier noch einige Nahaufnahmen:
Here some close ups:

I did some step x step photos, I hope you enjoy!

Old book pages glued with Art Podge on with
 Gesso primed canvas.

Put some Texture crackle through a stencil, left to dry, then some Mist from Lindy´s Stamp Gang on top.

Meanwhile the texture crackle dried, I misted a flower with the same mist and dried with my heat tool.

More mist, lace, washi tape, stamping an paint drops make the background (nearly) complete.

Here I tested, how the photo (matted with cardstock and paper from 13@rts) and some embellishments could be arranged.

Und das ist das Endergebnis.
And this is the result.

Finally, a little something to make you smile. As I told in my post of my last LO, that my grandma was a very tiny Lady. Please look at her feet - they don´t even reach the floor while she is sitting on the chair, just like a child *lol*!
That´s it for today, I hope you like my canvas and I wish you a beautiful week!

Geburtstagskarte

Hi peeps,
nice to have you here, I hope, you´re having a nice weekend.
Today I want to share a birthday card with you:
This card is kept quite simple this time.
The background paper is from LaBlanche, I distressed the edges, added some Gesso, golden and red metallic textile paint, some DI walnut stain and two lace stickers for texture. Then added two tags in different sices, in which I put two heart eyelets on top and gave some twine through the holes, some flowers, berries, a string of pearls and leaves completed the embellishing. On top I glued a motive paper and a stamped image - ready!
Hier noch zwei Detailaufnahmen:

1929

Hallo liebe Bloggerfreunde!

Hello dear bloggerfriends!
A warm welcome to my blog, I hope you´re having a good week.
May I introduce my grandparents on their wedding 1929.(Note the haircut of my grandfather - today he´d wear a very modern hairstyle * lol * )

I want to go back a bit and tell something to my grandparents, or actually about my grandmother, my grandfather, I have unfortunately never met.

My grandma
was born in 1902 in Silesia, today's Poland , and is nw, unfortunately, for many years dead. For my sister and me, she was always a granny out of a picture book -., We were her eyes star and I have many fond memories from my childhood. She was a very fun-loving, little person (she was only 1,49m tall).

Her life was quite moving and not always easy. Two world wars she has experienced, in the First World War, her brother was severely wounded. In 1929 she married my grandfather, a miner in the coal mine, he was her great love. They had a son, my dad.

When in 1945 the Russian army conquered the territories of today's Poland, my grandfather was deported and died in Russian captivity.

My grandmother and my father had to flee, as you can imagine not a nice time. After prolonged turmoil, the two finally ended up here in Bavaria.

I want to remind with this LO to her and thank her, simply that she was there (on the back I wrote a few words for journalling).

Bei Once Upon a .....
At Once Upon a ..... Sketch with the  Journalling Theme: "The women/girls etc in our lives..."  had to think immediately of my paternal grandmother. Therefor I asked my father to look for some old photographs and I was quite excited when I saw this wedding photo! I have worked after this great sketch.

I was inspired by the wonderful mood board from Rachael Funnell over at Scrap Around The World october challenge. Particulary the butterflies, the vintage-looking image with the bird cage and the zig-zag pattern on the shorts had their influence on my LO.

Oct color challenge
The beautiful colors of the October color challenge at Lindy´s Stamp Gang  are again wonderfully fitting for my LO.
The following colors I used:
Long John´s Silver
Bougainvillea Fuchsia
Pop Rock Purple
Orange Creamsicle
Steel Shimmer
Teeth Chattering Teal (no link available)
Queen Shebas Silver/ Embossingpowder
Sweet Violet Purple Teal  Magicals
Ramblin´ Rose Pink Magicals
creme brulee cream Magicals

Hier ist nun mein LO:
Well, here is my LO:

Und noch ein paar Detailaufnahmen:
And some close ups:

I started with the background:
stenceling with texture crackle and DIs, paperstrips, lace and bows, threat, mists and magicals, embossing, stamping and this time I worked with coffee.
The date I printed, colored with DIs, glued into the frame of the onate plate and covered with cackle accent - I love, how it turned out!
In the flower corner I assimilated a bunch of metal embellishments

That's it for today, I hope you like my little tribute to my grandma!

Herbstliche Buchkarte - Autumn Book Card

Hallo zusammen,
Hi all,
a warm welcome to my blog, a special hello to my new follower, I am glad that you are here!
Today I have to show you a book card, which is made for a very nice person to retire. In the recess inside
a coupon will find space
I was inspired by the pretty Mood Board over at Berry71Bleu , particulary by the fallen leaves, the browns and reds, the picture with the flower bouquet and the bow around the silverware.

This is how the card looks inside:
At the left side is a card, which can be stucked in with the help of a punched and glued down stripe.
So sieht das Innere der Karte aus.
Here a look inside the card.

And a picture from the side (please ignore the background....)

Und ein paar Detailaufnahmen:
And some close ups:
