Just for You!

 Hello lovelies!

Welcome to my second post for the March Challenge "Mother´s Day" at Country View Challenges!

I made another card. As I liked the first one very much, I wanted to make a second one with slightly different supplies.

This time I used again a layering stencil from Tim Holtz, floral THS077 and used modeling paste to bring the pattern on the paper.

When it was dry, I took infusions, magenta and bit jaded. I mixed a small amount with water and brushed the colours on my page. This way I had some more control where the colour would go. I added some layers and dried between. Lastly I sprinkled some colour to the clean right side..

I wanted to seal the surface and tried out the Transparent Wax from Stamperia. I smeared it on the surface with a dry cloth - and it worked very well! ...and the card smells very good now =).

I stamped the text with a very old stamp, coloured the cardstock with the leftover infusions, cut it out, matted it and adhered it with foam tape to the card.

To make it even more elegant, I  brushed some golden metallic acrylic paint (DecoArt Extreme Sheen 24KGold, my favourite golden metallic paint) and added some spritzes at last. Then I glued it to a gold matallic card.

I hope, you liked my cards and feel inspired to make something beautiful for your mum too!

Thank you for your visit today!

Mother´s Day

 Hello and welcome to March!

This month in the UK Mother´s Day will be celebrated - so the theme for the challenge this month over at Country View Challenge is "Mother´s Day" - and I am hosting it.

You can make whatever you want, it don´t have to be a card, but of course we must be able to see, that it meets the theme Mother´s Day. But please follow the rules of the challenge, you can enter no more than 5 times and you are allowed to enter your project in other challenges, up to a total of 10, including ours.

I made this card for the challenge.

I was inspired by the wonderful work of the talented ladies Nuneka and Asia Marquet.

This is what I did:

I prepared a piece of cardstock with Gesso and when dry, I took a layering stencil from Tim Holtz, called Rosette and spreat modeling paste through it. Not over the whole surface, only partially.

When dry, I took the wonderful PaperArtsy infusions lemoncello, magenta and black knight. I sprinkled them onto the preweted paper. Some spritzes of water made them flow. Then I dried all with a heat tool.

Next I did some stamping with different background stamps. I stamped them with black and brown Archival ink.

The sentiment is a stamp from france papillon - perfect words. I stamped and heat embossed it with nuvo fine detail embossing powder.

I diecut some leaves from a white cardstock with a very old Magnolia die from my stash, glued them down together with a wooden embelishment flower, and adhered the panel on a cardbase.

Here are some close ups:

That´s it for today, I will be back with another card in the same style soon!

I hope to see your makes for the challenge!

Thank you for your visit today and have a good time!
