Hello all!
A warm wellcome back, nice that you pop in here again! After a little longer break I am back with a new LO. As I have already written in my previous post, at my house is a room became free - my son's room.
As I had already written in a previous post too, was and is his life not easy and not what I as his mother  want it for him. Well, the difficulties had signed off for quite some time and I had very high hopes that he still gets its act, but unfortunately that was not the case. Well, it came as it had to come, a limit was exceeded and the consequences followed, as announced - also from my side. He is 20 years old and now he has to learn to take his own decisions, without a safety net. A very hard decision for me, but necessary for all parties.
When I saw the Journalling Theme at Once Upon A .... SketchI knew immediately that I would like to process this event.

Journalling Theme: "An event that changed my life..."

I know it is not an event that stays in the memory, because it was so very nice.  I think it's always a special moment for parents when the kids fledge and leave the nest. For me, the extract of my son was a very drastic change in my life, especially because even this is not so went across the stage, as you would "normally" would like to have, but as we all know - life is jnot a bed of roses.
But now written enough, here is my LO (journalling is hidden on the back):
I worked according to the sketch from Once Upon A Sketch April-challenge

Here some step x step pictures:

Hier noch ein paar Nahaufnahmen:
And here are some close ups:

Well, I hope you like my picture a little bit!
Soon I´ll show you, how the little room looks like now ..... but for this I have to tidy up my crafting battlefield first *lol*

When I hear the song from the link above, I allways think of my son. The text is in German, I don´t know, if you can translate if you want?

Konsequenz tut weh! Da könnte ich glatt mitsingen.;o)

  3. I love how you built up this amazing LO Evelyn, it's a wonderful page!
I feel for you. My son is 22, still at home, but needs to spread his wings. We seem to be the enemy all the time. I hope things settle down for you soon.

  6. Hallo Evelyn,

  7. Hi Evelyn - this must have been such a hard decision, but I'm sure it's right for both of you that you choose this hard path... The layout is so powerful, and brilliantly expresses the fracture that this change in your life feels like at the moment. Bravo for your bravery in the action, and for your artwork which expresses your feelings so brilliantly.
