Key Case - Schlüsselkasten

Hallo liebe Blogfreunde, schön euch hier zu haben!
Am besten nehmt ihr euch ein Gläschen Wein oder eine Tasse Kaffee mit, dieser Post ist ein bisserl länger geraten.
Nachdem ich in den letzten Monaten fast ausschließlich Layouts und Karten gefertigt habe, wollte ich mal wieder etwas anderes machen. Diesen Schlüsselkasten war bei einem Billigladen in der Wühlkiste, es fehlte der Knopf am Türchen und er hat tatsächlich nur 3.- € gekostet!
So sah er vorher aus:

After I've made in the last few months almost exclusively layouts and cards, I wanted to do something different. This key case was at a thrift store in rummage box, it lacked the knob on the door and it costs only 3.- €!
This is how it looks before alteration:

Zu allererst habe ich die Schmuckfliese, die in der Mitte aufgeklebt war, heruntergenommen, die entstandenen Dellen dann mit Modellierpaste aufgefüllt und das ganze Kästchen mit Cracklepaint angemalt.
First I have taken down the tile, that was glued in the middle, the resulting bumps I filled with modeling paste and painted the whole box with Cracklepaint.

 Die entstandenen Risse (ich mag sie einfach :-) ) habe ich mit Antiquing Cream in braun hervorgehoben.
The resulting cracks (I really like them :-) ) I covered with Antiquing Cream in brown to make them more stand out.





Danach gings ans Verzieren - schaut euch einfach die Bilder an.
Now it was time to embellish - well, look at the pictures.

Wie man hier sieht, habe ich so ziemlich alles aus meinen Schränken raus gerissen - Chaos pur *lol*

As you can see here, I grabbed nearly everything out of my cupboards - what a mess *lol*

 Einige Metallteile sind vom Flohmarkt oder von LaBlanche, andere von Prima, Finnabair Design z. B. die Mechanicals Roses, einige der Blüten sind auch von Prima, einige selbst gemacht. Die Chipboards sind von Wycinanka.
Some of the metal embellishments are from the flea market or from LaBlanche, some are Prima, design by Finnabair, e. G. the Mechanical Roses, the paper roses are Prima or handmade. The chipboards are from Wycinanka.

Glaskügelchen in 3 verschiedenen Größen und Rocailles.

Als alles soweit fertig war (naja, ich gebe zu, ich habe noch ein paar Mal nachgebessert und ergänzt), habe ich alles mit weißem Gesso bemalt um einen Untergrund für die nun folgenden Farben zu schaffen.
When everything was ready so far (well, I admit, I have reworked and supplementeda few more times) , I painted with white gesso to provide everything to a base for the now following colors.

Jetzt kam die Farbe ins Spiel! Ich habe Acrylfarbe in schwarz und verschiedenen Brauntönen verwendet und Sprühfarben von Lindy´s Stamp Gang (Sweet Violet Purple Teal, Dark Chocolate Truffle, Twinkling Tinsel) und ein wenig Glimmer Mist in lila. Danach habe ich mit goldener Acrylfarbe und Gesso trocken Farbe aufgebürstet............. und gold und Gesso......... dann wieder etwas Farbe............. und etwas Gold und Gesso............ nun, es hat eine ganze Weile gedauert  ;-). Noch ein paar Glitzersteinchen und fertig.
Aber jetzt bin ich mit dem Ergebnis zufrieden. 
So, und nun noch jede Menge Detailaufnahmen: 
Now it was time for colour! I used acrylic paint in brown, black and umber, mists from Lindy´s Stamp Gang in Sweet Violet Purple Teal, Dark Chocolate Truffle and some Twinkling Tinsel and some purple Glimmer Mist. Then I dry brushed with golden Acrylic paint and Gesso........... and added colour and dry brushed, added colour, dry brushed,.......... well, it took some time ;-). At least some gems and that´s it.
But now I´m pretty satisfied with the result.

Es war gar nicht einfach, gute Fotos zu bekommen. ich habe einmal mit dunklem Hintergrund und einmal mit hellem Hintergrund fotografiert, einmal mit direkter Sonne, einmal mit Wolken.
It wasn´t easy to take good photos, I photographed once with a dark and a light background, with sunshine and without.

I went with all the beautiful gold on the mood board and the pearls/silver balls on the third photo - and I think, I made a little magic with the key case ;-)
