Autumnal Bokeh Card

Hello everyone,

this month we have a really great theme at Country View Challenges - Bokeh!
If you are wondering, what it is, you will find several tutorials on YouTube.
Simply explained: set white points of light on a inked background.
But you will find a better definition on the blog from our lovely hostess Sue.

I decided to make a autumnal card.

And this is what I did:

I pulled out some green and yellow Distress inks and a white cardstock. I stepped out of my comfort zone, I do not use these colors very often!

This is how it looked after inking.

For the Bokeh effect I simply used the bubble stencil from finnabair and white ink. I moved the stencil here and there to get a bigger variety.

Now I distressed the edges with DI vintage photo to frame it.

I used a stampset from Visible Image and stamped it several times on top of my card with the stamping platform.

Now I only had to matte it onto a card - and that´s it!
I really like how it turned out!

Now it´s your turn to make something with the Bokeh technique!

Creatures from the Deep

Hello all,
today I want to show you my second piece for the September challenge Under the Sea at Country View Challenges.
This time I made an Art Journal Page.

It is a pretty simple page - I told you, that I´m a little bit clueless with this theme.

I found a old book about animals and I cut out two pictures of fishes and glued them down with matte medium. After this I spreat grey acrylic paint around them and dried the page.
Now I took a stencil from Shawn Petite and stenciled the bubbles with a light blue acrylic paint and with cobalt blue Archival Ink.
Then I stamped the words with black Archival ink and set some highlights with a blue pen.
The last step was to darken the edges and to glue the page to a black cardstock.

Here are some close ups:

Now it´s your turn to make something Under the Sea!
Don´t forget, you can win a 20 £ voucher for the shop!

Thank you for your visit and have a good week!

Fish! - ATCoins for Country View Challenges

Hello to my second post today!

It´s already September, can you believe?
This month the theme is "Under the Sea", chosen by my lovely team mate Rachel.

For me the theme was a real challenge - owning hundrets of stamps, I realised, that there are none with a under water theme!
That's why, for better or worse, I had to paint the fish myself 😉.
I made some ATCoins.

I searched pictures from fishes and sketched some them on watercolor paper and colored them with my new Gouache paints - a good opportunity to test them!

I had some ATCoins with background paper in my stash and the colors did fit perfectly.

I took the Doodle Borders #1 and #2 from Rubber Dance and heat embossed them black to create some water plants. I adhered the fuzzy cut fishes and added some words - and ready!

Here are my 3 ATCoins:

So that´s it for today, I hope you like my little friends!

Don´t forget to hop to the CVC blog to see what the rest of the team made!

I hope, you will create something beautiful for the challenge!

Have a nice September!
