My "One little word 2014" - HOPE

Hallo zusammen Hello everybody!
Schön, dass ihr bei mir hereinschaut! Nice to have you here today!
Today I want to share a new LO with you, which is very close to my heart.

When I saw the new challenge of the month at berry71bleu,  I knew immediately, what is my one word for 2014 - HOPE.

I worked according to the sketch from   Once upon a sketch. The   Journalling Theme: "Lesson learnt..."   fits quite excellent... but more on that later. (You can find the Journalling on the back)

This page I made for my son. Unfortunately, his life is not straightforward, and it does not go the straight way, he always thinks, he has to test limits or even exceed - with often not harmless consequences. Now he has tried to restart in the New Year and my great, great hope is that he finds his way and not end up back in his previous swamp and maneuveres himself into a dead end. For this he needs a lot of courage and I also need the courage to believe in him. As the saying goes? "Hope dies last!"

how would you express...

Zum Thema Mut wollte Mixed-Media-Place etwas sehen.
Mixed-Media-place wants to see something with the theme courage.

Hier ist mein LO.
Here is my LO.

I've worked with a lot of materials: gesso, texture paste, crackle accents, Glossy accents, stamping, spray inks, alcohol inks, chip boards and a lot of "scrap", old book pages and the ladder is made of shashlik sticks.

Hier noch ein paar Detailaufnahmen:
Here some close ups:

The Journalling at the back for my son.

Ich hoffe, das LO gefällt euch! Vielen Dank für´s Vorbeischauen!
I hope you like my page! Thank you for hopping in here!

  1. Evelyn I love your layout! I too have a daughter who has brought me to the brink of insanity and back! She is 26 and still has to find her way. I feel with you! I like the brick wall with the ladder (your son must climb this yes?) I hope he makes it. It is nice to see us put ourselves out there with scrapping not just always pretty stories but the truth. I wish you much luck and pray for hope and courage for you son as well! All the best. I would have written this is German but it is still very bad (I hope to visit my family there this year!) All the best! http://mybeaner.blogspot.ca/ come visit sometime! :)

  4. WOW! wonderful masculine grungy layout. I love all the cogs and bits on the layout - so much texture and amazing colours. I love the symbolism on this layout and as a parent it is often hard to sit back and see our kids go off the rails... I hope he finds his path. Thanks so much for playing along with us at OUAS this month.

  17. You have put in a lot of thought into your page Evelyn and it really shows. So many details that have a deeper meaning than just being decorative even if they are seriously cool. Also I hope that your son will find his way in life, how lucky he is to have you next to him. xx

    Rosi
