Spring Time!

Hello lovelies, nice to have you here again!

For my second project for the challenge over at Country View Challenges with the theme "First signs of Spring" I made a page in my little sketch pad.

I liked the idea of the single flower from my first projekt, so I decided to make another picture with only one flower.
I took my sketch pad, that I use for different "try-out"-projects, glued together 2 pages and prepared the surface with a thick coat of white Gesso.
Then I brayered three colors of acrylic paint on top and did some stencil reverse with my new stencil from Stamperia, "Steampunk" by Antonis Tzanidakis.

It wasn´t as visible as I wanted it to be, so I stenciled with brown ink over all. Then I did some background stamping with stamps from LaBlanche and black Archival ink.

To tone everything down a little bit, I went over some parts with white Gesso.
Now I took a diecut flower from Tim Holtz´s Wildflower dies and made a tulip out of it. I only put some red and green acrylic paint with my fingers roughly on top and when dry I glued it onto my page.

Then I used a very old sticker from 13@rts and did some shadowing with a black charcoal pencil around the flower and the wordstickers to make them stand out more.
Lastly I doodled some lines to the edges and framed the page with a black crayon.

Here is my little Sketch pad and some of the pages I did before:

I hope you like my little page as much as I do and feel inspired to make something spring related for the challenge too! You know, you can win a 20£ voucher for the shop!

A Little Tag for Spring

 Hello lovelies,
it´s the first day of February and that means - a new challenge over at Country View Challenges!
This time the theme is: "First signs of Spring".
I made a little tag.

One of the first flowers in the meadows are daisies. I really love to see them blooming, it´s a promise for the warmer days to come.

I started with the wrinkle free technique and spreat DI speckled egg and old paper on my craft mat, spritzed with water and dapped the tag in. I dried it and repeated the steps until I liked the result.

For the background I used my brandnew  stamp and used the same DI for stamping. The result is very subtile, but I liked it.

Next I used a Shawn Petite stencil and DI black soot with a brush.

I felt, that something was missing and I used a RubberDance stamp with Archival ink Seafarer.

The little daisy I stamped with 2 RubberDance stamps from the Textured Flowers stamp set. First I stamped the stem and then the flowerhead from another flower.

I colored and cut out the flower and glued it to the tag. I made some highlights with white paint and shaded the ground with a charcoal pencil. Then I stamped the word spring with my little alpha stamps..

Last I added some pearls with blue and green pearl pens and last I threaded some ribbons through the hole on top.

Now I hope you will find some time to join in with our challenge! It feels good to make something spring related - in this times we need some hope for new beginnings!

Thank you for your visit!
