Art Journal Page "Without the dark, we´d never see the stars"

Hello all, nice to have you here!
This is my second project for this month´s challenge "stars" over at Country View Challenges. I decided to make an Art Journal Page in my large Art Journal.

Hallo zusammen, schön, dass ihr bei mir reinschaut!
Das ist mein zweites Projekt für diesen Monat bei Country View Challenges mit dem Motto "Sterne".
Ich habe eine Seite in meinem großen Art Journal gestaltet.

It is a very emotional page for me, made for a very special person to me, made for some reason I don´t want to mention here. I wish for that special person, that he will be able to see the stars soon and that they will help him to get out of his dark.

Here are some steps:

I started with some thin scrapooking papers (BazzilBasicPapers from my stash) with different patterns.
I tore them to pieces and glued them to my pages, using Matte Medium.

On top I painted a thin layer of white gesso and dried it with my heating tool.
Next step was to sketch my vocal point at the left side with a pencil.
I painted the background with watered DecoArt mixed media fluid acrylics in Paynes Grey, Prussian Blue Hue, Cobalt Blue Hue, Burnt Umber and Carbon Black.

Sorry, for the next steps I missed to take pictures - I was in a flow ;-)

My man I painted with Titan Buff, Titanium White, Burnt Umber and Cobalt Black.

Then I stamped some stars, using some very old stamps from my stash with white ink and gave them some bling with stickles.

Now I stamped randomly my background with one of the background stamps from Crafters Companion "Walls and Corners" stamp set and my new bought PaperArtsy JOFY Mini stamp JM50
(I love it!). I colored them with Gelatos.

With black and white Acrylic Marker I set accents and outlines.
The blue and black Gelatos I used to frame my page.

The sentiment I printed with my Dymo, glued it down and outlined with the black Gelato. To blend the lines I used a watertank brush.

Here is a closer look of the man:

That´s it for today! I hope you find time to play with us! You have two weeks left!
Thank you for your visit and have a nice day!

I want to join in following challenges:

old: my star stamps
new: my new PaperArtsy stamp
(borrowed: I "borrowed" a male model from the internet ;-) )
blue: the heaven

Reach for the Stars!

Hello all, welcome to my blog!
First of November and that means: time for a new challenge at Country View Challenges!
This month my dear team mate Rachel wants to see "stars".
I made a card for it.

For my background I used DecoArt media fluid acrylics Titanium White, Cobalt Teal Hue, Prussian Blue Hue, Paynes Grey and Carbon Black. I dropped them in a row and took my brayer and rolled the paint on my paper to create a ombre effect.
Then I put some Ecoline watercolor in magenta to the upper part, mixed it a bit with Titanium White to create a kind of cloudy galaxy. Then I sprinkled watered down white Gesso on top and glued down some of the small chipboard stars.
I wrote the sentiment with a white acrylic marker and surrounded the letters with a black marker.
Last I added a little glimmer by highlighting the stars and parts of the letters with ice stickles. Last but not least I randomly  rubbed DecoArt media fluid acrylics Interference Turquoise to create more interest and that´s it!

Now I hope you find time to join in our challenge!

Thank you for your visit!
