Birthday Card with a Infusions Background

Hello all, welcome to my blog today!
First of all I want to wish you a happy New Year.
This is my first post this year for Country View Challenges. I struggled with some health issues the last view weeks, so I missed the first take on the January challenge "everything goes".

So now here is my one take for this month.

Here is what I did:

I took some Mixed Media papers, cut it to size and primed it with Gesso.

After the Gesso was dry, I sprayed some water on top, took some of my Infusions (Green Man and Magenta), sprinkled them randomly and sprayed more water to spread.
I dried it and repeated the steps several times.

I am absolutely in love with Infusions! The powder is so versatile with it´s different shades and colors in it! You have to try them if you didn´t yet.
When I was satisfied with the result, I did some stamping with some stamps from PaperArtsy and a stamp set from Tim Holtz. I used my little Archival Ink stamp pads. I really love them, they are a cheap way to have a selection of inks.
I stamped my sentiment and cut it out.
Then I chose a picture (finnabair), matted it and put my card together: Some lace, some flowers, some cut out butterflies, that´s it!

I hope you liked my card and feel inspired to join in with our challenge. There is time enough to make something beautiful and, as you know, you have the chance to win a 20£ voucher for the shop!

I want to join in with the following challenges:

I don't like infusions as they are too unpredictable for me... (I am a controlfreak)
But you did a fantastic job ! Love it.
