Spring! - Art Journal Page for Country View Challenges

Hello all,
nice to have you here today! I want to share with you my second project for the April challenge Easter and/or Spring over at Country View Challenges!

This time I made an art journal page with handpainted flowers, using watercolors.
Maybe the little girl is waiting for the Easter bunny to come?

This is what I did:
I prepared my page with white Gesso and sketched the tulip, the daffodil and the grape hyacinths slightly onto my page. I painted them with watercolors, and when they were dry I colored the background  with very watery blue watercolors. Then I shaded the flowers with a charcoal pencil, added some highlights and doodling with posca pens in brown and white and surrounded my page with black charcoal. I was missing a little something, so I stamped some butterflies and colored them with watercolors.
Now I only had to stamp some background stamps onto my page for more interest and glue down the little girl, a paper doll from Tim Holtz. I really love these paper dolls, they always give your work something special!

Here are some close ups:

That little girl looks so cute, doesn´t she?!

Now it´s your turn to make something Easter or Spring related and share with us at Country View Challenges! You have plenty of time left! And remember - you have the chance to win a 20 £ voucher for the shop! So I hope you will hippedi-hop in 😋.

Thank you for your visit today and happy Easter!

It´s Spring! - Card for Country View Challenges

Hello all, a warm welcome!
It´s the first of April and - no joke - there is a new challenge at Country View Challenges!

This month the theme, chosen by my lovely teamy Monika, Spring and/or Easter!

I made a card with a lovely snowdrop fairy

I matted my card with some old cardstock from FabScrabs, I had in my stash, and colored in with Distress Oxide Broken China.

This little fairy is an old stamp from LaBlanche. I stamped her on specialty stamping paper with brown Archival Ink and colored her with my Polychromos from Faber-Castell. Then I fuzzy cut her and glued her down with 3D-Foam Pads for some dimension. I draped some blue thread behind her for some contrast and added some small flowers. To the middle of the flowers I glued glittery metal drops.

I stamped a Birthday wish with blue Archival Ink, cut it out and toned down the background with the same Distress Oxide I used on the card.

Now I only had to sprinkle some black and white splatters and white rings, made with a cup from a spray bottle, for more interest and my card was ready!

That´s it for today!
I hope you will make something springlike or something for Easter and share it with us in our challenge!
Thank you for your visit today!
