Merry Christmas!

Today I want to share with you my second project for the Christmas Challenge at Country View Challenges. I made a sparkley card with the beloved Holiday Greens dies from Tim Holtz.

I cut white cardstock to size and matted it with some super sparkly glitter cardstock. Next I dipped DI festive berries on my glass mat, spritzed some water on top and used a fan brush to create some splatters.

I stamped the Merry Christmas with festive berries DI and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder. Then I cut it out and colored the edges.

The Holiday Greens I diecut from glitter cardstock in two different gold tones.

I put three diecut greenery together, glued it on the card and added a little red bow. Then I put the card together and - that´s it!

First Christmas Card 2022

Hello and happy December!

Unbelievable - last month of the year already! Where has time gone bye?

For the December challenge at Country View Challenges I made a card in traditional red colour.

I used a kraft cardstock for the cardbase and the topper.

I diecut the trees with tree dies from Charlie & Paulchen from glittercardstock and mirror cardstock. I cut out some trees from the cardtopper as well as the German "Merry Christmas" and matted it on a patterned cardstock in a matching red colour. The diecut trees I arranged in a row, some glued down directly, some rised with foam squares.

The edges of the topper I distressed with DI vintage photo. Then I glued the topper down to the cardbase.

DIY Christmas Bauble

 Hello all!

Wow, only 7 days to Christmas, can you believe?

My second project for Country View Challenges - Anything Christmas is a Christmas Bauble.

This is an easy fold and glued Honeycomb ball made of - you won´t believe it - coffee filter bags!

Well, I´ll show you how I made it:

You need:

8 coffee filter bags, a mask, scissors, pencil, double sided tape or a glue stick, if you have at hand a bone folder, a string, if you want watercolour ( I used a metallic one, the shimmer is amazing!), some pearls and beads if you like.

Fold your filter bags in half and crease the edge with the bone folder.

Next use your mask and draw half circles onto the folded bags.

Cut them out.

This step is optional. I painted all my circles (16) with metallic water colour. But you can use them also as they are (either the white ones like here or the brown ones).

When they are dry, fold them at half again and mark the middle of the halfcircles...

Now you can start glue all together. I used double sided tape, but a glue stick does work too.

First glue all circles in the middle.

Now you have to put tape to the sides and glue one half circle on top of the other.

I decided, that I wanted some gold at the edges and I painted them with extreme sheen paint.

Last I made some decoration with pearls and glued the gold string to the middle of my bauble.

Now I only had to close the bauble - and done!

I really love, how it turned out!

Tiny Christmas Town

 Hello and happy December everyone!

For the Christmas challenge at Country View Challenges this month I made a little christmassy scene with the Tim Holtz Tiny Houses.

I cut out the tiny houses with the thinlits from Tim Holtz from white cardstock and put them together.

Behind the windows I sticked some foil I had in my stash. It is a litlle bit sparkly and milky - perfect for the houses!

I decorated them with some  "snow out of the tube", it´s a fluid medium, and sprinkled some deco ice on top. I like how it turned out!

Now I grabed a wooden slice, I found in a dollar store, drilled a little hole in it and put a light string through it. The battery I glued to the back.

Now I arranged the houses and the silver tree and glued them down with hot glue. 

For the snow I used fiber paste from Golden, I spreat it with a spatula, pushed some styrofoam balls into the paste and sprinkled deco ice over all. I also glued some styro balls as stands to the back of the wood slice.

To one of the houses I added a little chimney I made of a white-gold paperstraw, I glued in some cotton wool to imitate some smoke.

That´s it! I must admit, I am in Love with this little scene and I hope you like it too!

Last Minute Christmas Card

 Hello hello!

Welcome to my second post for the "Everything Christmas" challenge over at Country View Challenges!

I am always a last minute person - so, here is my last minute christmas card!

It´s really an easy one.

I used two PaperArtsy stamps - they are Mandala stamps - and stamped and heat embossed 3 Christmas baubles ;o). Then I stamped Merry Christmas with black Archival ink

I glued a diecut twig on top, drew the hangings and the strings. colored the baubles in and made some splatters. I matted the page onto pink cardstock. then I glued everything on a card.

It was very hard to take a good picture, because the embossed baubles are so very glittery!

Sophisticated Advent Wreath

 Hello and welcome to my blog, nice to have you here!

Unbelievable - the year is coming to it´s end soon (well, not that I want it to be longer anyway). It´s the first of December already.

Here is the final challenge of this year over at Country View Challenges, and it´s an "Anything goes Christmas".

Last sunday was the first Advent, and I decided to share with you my home made Advent wreath. 

The last years I didn´t have a wreath, I went for some other solutions - a big piece of bark I decorated, a plate, I only draped some greenery and baubles with candles - or even nothing at all (shame).

This year I wanted to make a wreath once again, so I went to the gardening in our village and got myself some greenery, a straw wreath and everything I needed. At the dollar store I got some cheap mini baubles and the candles (which doesn´t look cheap at all!), the turquoise ribbon, the turquoise baubles, which are gorgeous and the silver pinecones. They bueish/greenish stars are also from there.

One tradition I have for many years now is to buy one special bauble for my christmas tree every year. Either I buy it on a advent market or at our stationary store in our village. The owner always has really special and extraordinary christmas decorations. They are a little bit pricy, but they are worth it.

So I went to the stationary store  I bought some special baubles (the silver ones).

Inspired by christmas decoration I saw from Blanche Siegmann, I wanted to make a wreath, which is hanging dowm  little bit. It really looks sophisticated!

So I tied my wreath and added some more greenery to the sides. Then I took a porcellain bowl and put the wreath on top. I placed a cardboard under the wreath, so the candles cand stand save.

To fix the decoration I used wire and hot glue - this is the easiest way.

I went to my christmas box and found some silvery apples, wooden glitter stars and angels hair. The silver greenery I got from the gardening.

I had so much fun to make it and I am really pleased, how it turned out!
