Fish! - ATCoins for Country View Challenges

Hello to my second post today!

It´s already September, can you believe?
This month the theme is "Under the Sea", chosen by my lovely team mate Rachel.

For me the theme was a real challenge - owning hundrets of stamps, I realised, that there are none with a under water theme!
That's why, for better or worse, I had to paint the fish myself 😉.
I made some ATCoins.

I searched pictures from fishes and sketched some them on watercolor paper and colored them with my new Gouache paints - a good opportunity to test them!

I had some ATCoins with background paper in my stash and the colors did fit perfectly.

I took the Doodle Borders #1 and #2 from Rubber Dance and heat embossed them black to create some water plants. I adhered the fuzzy cut fishes and added some words - and ready!

Here are my 3 ATCoins:

So that´s it for today, I hope you like my little friends!

Don´t forget to hop to the CVC blog to see what the rest of the team made!

I hope, you will create something beautiful for the challenge!

Have a nice September!

Texture! Birthday Card for Country View Challenges

Hello lovelies, nice to have you here!

First of August - that means a new challenge over at Country View Challenges!
This month the theme is Texture and my talented team mate Miriam is hosting the challenge this time.
I decided to make a card with MUCH texture.

This is what I did:
I took a pre gessoed piece of watercolor paper on which I tried out some stencils. But I didn´t mind, I knew, they would disappear later 😉. I took a stencil and texture paste and started to build up the first layer.

When the paste was dry I randomly spreat embossing ink over the raised parts and sprinkled 3 different shades of Lindy´s embossing powders on top. Then I heat embossed it. I repeated this step several times, until I was happy with the result.

Then I took some orange Starburst Mist to some parts for more color and dried it.

For more contrast I added some black mist.

Now I wanted to have some white space and I added white acrylic paint. For more texture I heated the color until it bubbled - I love this effect!

Now I changed my mind - from white to black. I went over the white space with black Gesso. I also added some light pink acrylic paint and doodled with a white Posca pen.

I matted the paper with pink cardstock and glued it on top of a card.
Then I wanted even more texture and added some marks with stamps.

For my vocal point I used a stamp from LaBlanche. I colored it with distress inks. To give the butterfly some dimension and shine I added a pretty thick layer of Glossy Accents. When dry I put a piece of doily underneath...

....also a piece of cheesecloth and black threat. Then I added the flowers and diecut leaves.

The final touches were made by art stones in different sizes and a hint of glitter.

That´s it for today. I had so much fun making this card!
