Hello all, nice to have you here today!
Fresh back from holidays I want to share with you my second project for the June challenge "Hearts" at Country View Challenges.
I bought this white painted wooden heart at a Dollar store some time ago and decided to alter it a
little bit.
First I painted the heart with deco art media fluid acylics in magenta - but it turned out too colorful. So I took some pearl iridicent acrylic paint to tone it down.
It belongs to the light, how the color shimmers - sometimes more pinkish, sometimes more golden. I like the effect very much!
To alter the heart more, I used the little wooden pieces you find in every canvas package. I painted the wood with DecoArt media fluid acrylics.
I glued the pieces on top of the heart and added some mica flaces and gold glitter strips from 13@rts.
The paper doily I toned down with DI antique line.
Now I put everything together. A vintage photo from finnabair, two tags from some clothes I bought, a string, fibres and flowers. The flowers I painted here and there with some iridicent paint. To add a little bit more gold, I glued down a golden brad.
At last I glued down a bow as a hanger.
Here you can see the back of the heart.
......and some close ups.
Now I hope, you´ll find time to join in with our challenge this month, as always you have the chance to win a 20£ voucher for the shop!
Thank you for your visit and have a wonderful sunny and hot weekend.
