Hello and Happy Easter to all of you!

Today I want to share with you my second post for the April challenge "Things with Wings" at Country View Challenges.

This time I made a art journal page.

 I had much fun to create the page, using a picture of a magzine from the Supermarket 😉😊.

The page is quite easy to make:

First I gessoed the paper to prepare it, then I used some magical sifters from Lindy´s (Octopus Eyes Aqua, Sea Turtle Teal and Jellyfish Sting Pink). I spritzed water onto the page and sprinkled the magicals on top. Some more water helped to spread the colour. After drying the ink, I took a homemade collage tissue and teared it in pieces, which I glued down randomly using matte medium. You really have to be careful and only tap with a brush on the tissue, it is very fragile!

I ripped out the little Lady from a magazine, gave her some transparent wings (Tim Holtz) and glued her to the page.

Now I did some stamping with some of my favourite stamps from LaBlanche with Versafine fine detail ink in onyx black, took then a black fineliner and doodled arround the edges of my colour. I also glued down one more transparent wing on one of the branches.

I wrote the word "Explore" with a white gelly Roll pen, made a lot of white tiny dots, set some highlight here and there - and that´s it!

Now I hope, the Easter Bunny brought you some yummy eggs and may be, you´ll find time to make something with wings for our challenge!

Art Journal Page with a Heart

Hello all!

Today I want to share with you my second project for the February challenge at Country View Challenges. This month the theme is "Be Sentimental".

This time I made a Art Journal page.

This is what I did:

I chose a page from one of my art journals, which was already prepared with some stamping and parts of old book pages. I went over it with some Gesso and when it was dry, I stamped a heart from a Rubber Dance stamp set with embossing ink and heat embossed them.

Next I used my Marabu acrylic spray paint. I took red, magenta and lime green.

The next step first looked a little bit ugly - but wait, until you see the end result.

I took black Gesso and spreat it on some parts of the page with a brush. I also made some marks with the brush on the edges.

The black Gesso was still wet, so I took a knitting needle to create some doodling. I drew some spirals. The result remids me on a artwork, childs love to make with black crayon. Do you remember these magical pictures?

The Gesso had to dry and meanwhile I picked out a fitting paper for the focal point. I used one from the bunch of Gelli prints I made last year. I sketched a heart and cut it out.

To make it stand out more on the page I surrounded it with a black posca pen and doodled white points. I then used a little heart stamp from another Rubber Dance stamp set and stamped it randomly onto the heart with Magenta Hue Archival ink.

I glued down the heart to the page with thin foam tape, did some more doodling with white posca pen and some more background stamping with black Archival ink and an old script stamp from LaBlanche.

Then I stamped the sentiment (Rubber Dance) with embossing ink direktly to the page and heat embossed it with black nuvo fine detail embossing powder.

Butterfly kisses - DT Project for Country View Challenges

Hello dear visitors, welcome to my blog!

It´s time for my second project for the June challenge "The written word" at Country View Challenges.

I made a little Art Journal page with a lot of butterflies and called it Butterfly kisses.

I made this page in my holidays in Italy.

And this is what I did:

For the background I took a piece of watercolor paper and spreat geneously clear water over the page. Then I painted it in several shades of blue DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylics. I let the paint pool and flow and dried it with my heating tool.

When dry I started with some stamping with different background stamps with Archival Ink in different blues....

......and more stamping,

then I took a stencil from AAL&CREATE and blue fluid acrylics mixed with white Gesso and stenciled randomly.

The next stencil is one of my all time favourites. I love these flowers! I stenciled  them all over the page with white Gesso.

To make them stand out even more, I surrounded the flowers with my white posca pen.

 For my butterflies I colored another piece of watercolor paper with distress oxides. I used the wrinkle free distress technique - I spreat the Oxides onto my craft mat, spritzed with water and put the paper on top.

Then I dried the paper and repeated the process, until I was happy with the result. Then I drippled some water on top for more interest.

 Now I took my new little neon colored Amsterdam Acrylic paints. I didn´t want them to get too prominent, therefor I only dry brushed them carefully all over the page.

I stamped Finnabairs butterflies in different sizes with black archival ink and cut them out.
I adhered the butterflies with matte medium to the background paper.

next I stamped the words "butterly kisses" and three tiny hearts from the Illusionary ARTISTS stampset Perfect Words from France Papillon with Versafine Claire Nocturne on watercolor paper, cut them out and glued them down too.

Now I started to decorate the butterflies with black and white posca pens. I doodled dots and stripes, drew antennas and surrounded and shaded them. It was really meditative!

Here are all the butterflies - I love how they turned out!

Travelling Art Journal, #5 - DT Project for Canvas Corp Brands

Hallo zusammen,

mir ist aufgefallen, dass ich ganz versäumt habe meine Juni Seiten im Travelling Art Journal für Canvas Corp Brands mit euch zu teilen!

Ich möchte sie euch natürlich nicht vorenthalten, deshalb zeige ich sie euch jetzt, bevor ich euch meinen Juli Eintrag präsentiere.

Here is what I did:

So habe ich sie gemacht:

First I put one stripe of masking tape to the middle of the two pages to protect the other pages of the journal. Then I gathered my colors and a stencil I wanted to use. 

Zuerst habe ich die Seitenmitte mit Maskingtape abgeklebt um die anderen Seiten zu schützen. Danach habe ich Farben und Schablone bereitgelegt.

 Then I dribbled the paints onto my pages and spreat it with a makeup sponge.

Im Anschluss Farben auftropfen und mit einem Makeup Schwämmchen verteilen.

 Now a lot of stamping.

Jetzt jede Menge Stempeln.

 After this I used the stencil and painted some parts with golden paint.

Nun Farbe mit der Schablone auftragen, einige Teile sind mit Gold ausgemalt.

 Now lots and lots of doodling with black, white, silver and gold.

Jetzt gaaaanz viel doodling mit schwarz, weiß, silber und gold.

 I sketched the butterfly and painted the outside black. to create some highlights I surrounded him with light blue Gelatos. Now I added some butterflies and the stamped sentiment.

Den Schmetterling skizzieren, außen herum mit schwarzer Farbe übermalen und um ihn etwas mehr hervor zu heben mit hellblauem Gelato umrahmen. Nun nur noch ein paar gestanzte Schmetterlinge und den gestempelten Spruch aufkleben - fertig.
