Hello and Happy Easter to all of you!

Today I want to share with you my second post for the April challenge "Things with Wings" at Country View Challenges.

This time I made a art journal page.

 I had much fun to create the page, using a picture of a magzine from the Supermarket 😉😊.

The page is quite easy to make:

First I gessoed the paper to prepare it, then I used some magical sifters from Lindy´s (Octopus Eyes Aqua, Sea Turtle Teal and Jellyfish Sting Pink). I spritzed water onto the page and sprinkled the magicals on top. Some more water helped to spread the colour. After drying the ink, I took a homemade collage tissue and teared it in pieces, which I glued down randomly using matte medium. You really have to be careful and only tap with a brush on the tissue, it is very fragile!

I ripped out the little Lady from a magazine, gave her some transparent wings (Tim Holtz) and glued her to the page.

Now I did some stamping with some of my favourite stamps from LaBlanche with Versafine fine detail ink in onyx black, took then a black fineliner and doodled arround the edges of my colour. I also glued down one more transparent wing on one of the branches.

I wrote the word "Explore" with a white gelly Roll pen, made a lot of white tiny dots, set some highlight here and there - and that´s it!

Now I hope, the Easter Bunny brought you some yummy eggs and may be, you´ll find time to make something with wings for our challenge!

Anniversary Artist Trading Coins

 Hello and hurray!

For our 100th challenge at Country View Challenges I made some Artist Trading Coins for your inspiration.

As it is a special challenge, you have this time two chances to win a voucher for the shop!

This is what you have to do:

 I used a lot of technics, supplies and mediums, so I guess you can find something that you want integrate into your work.

So here are the steps:

First I wanted to make a collage paper, I have seen that recently from Tiffany Solorio, you can watch her video here. So I gathered tissue paper, a whole bunch of stamps and black Archival ink and started to build my background.

I started with the 100 in different sizes and went on with a lot of different stamps.

This is the result I got - I really like it!

Next I punched my coins with a 21/2" circle punch. I needed three for the back, three from cardboard (if it is too thick, cut it with siccors) and three from cardstock.

To create the background color I used Distress Oxides and spreat the inks with a brayer.

Time to use my collage paper. I cut out pieces and glued it down with Matte Medium.

After drying I filed the edges with a nail file.

For more interest I added some crackle glaze here and there.

For some shimmer I painted parts with extreme sheen gold paint.

For my vocal point I stamped some words and the beautiful butterflies from rubber dance on white Bristol paper and heat embossed it with black nuvo fine detail embossingpowder.

I colored the butterflies with liquid watercolors. When dry, I cut them out and glued them onto my coins. The coins I framed with black acrylic paint and added some white splatters.

Here they are! Very hard to get good pictures, so sorry for the photo quality.
