Mixed Media Picture for C´est Magnifique

Hallo zusammen, schön, dass ihr da seid. Ich hoffe, ihr hattet ein wunderbares Osterfest. 

Heute zeige ich euch mein letztes Werk für den März bei C´est Magnifique Kits, ein kleines Mixed Media Bild. Ich habe eines der Kartonquadrate, Metallanhänger, einige Blumen und den netten Rahmen aus dem Kit benutzt und ein Bild daraus gemacht.

Hi all, nice to have you here! I hope you had a wonderful Easter.
Today I want to share my last project my last project for March at C´est Magnifique Kits with you. I used one of the chipboard squares, the metal tags, some flowers and the pretty frame from the kit and made a little Mixed Media project.

Damit habe ich angefangen. Den Karton habe ich mit etwas selbstklebender Leinwand überzogen, durch eine Schablone Modeling Paste aufgetragen und all die schönen Sachen aufgeklebt.

This is what I started with. I covered the chipboard with some canvas, added some texture with modeling paste through a stencil and glued all the pretty things in place.

Nun alles mit schwarzem Gesso übermalt und nachdem alles trocken war, kamen Sprühfarben, Gesso, Inka Gold und Mica Flakes für ein wenig Glitzer oben drauf.

Then I covered everything with black gesso and when dry played with mists and paints. Gesso to highlight some areas and Mica Flakes for a little bling completed my composition.

Layout "beautiful" for C´est Magnifique Kits

Hallo und herzlich willkommen! 

Heute möchte ich euch mein letztes Layout für C´est Magnifique Kits zeigen. Ich habe das Foto dazu auf flickr gefunden. Ich liebe Ballerinas!

Today I want to show you my last layout for C´est Magnifique Kits. I used a photo I found on flickr. I love Ballerinas!

from my stash: clear and white gesso, stencils, modeling paste, inks and stamps, threats, mica flakes, gel medium, cloth and cardstock leftover, rub ons

Zuerst habe ich die Seite mit Clear Gesso beidseitig eingestrichen. Für den Hintergrund kam durch eine Schablone Modeling Paste, mit einer anderen Schablone habe ich mit Distress Ink "Ground espresso" benutzt. Danach habe ich mit einem Schriftstempel und Archival Ink "Potting Soil" noch ein paar Stempelabdrücke gesetzt. Den Gardinenstoff, den ich zu Hause hatte, habe ich mit der Sprühfarbe aus dem Kit coloriert und mit dem Heißföhn getrocknet. Ich habe ihn etwas überhitzt, so dass er etwas eingeschrumpelt ist - der Effekt gefällt mir gut! Die Holzkreise habe ich erst mit der Prima-Stempelfarbe eingefärbt und auch mit dem Schriftstempel bestempelt. Dann nur noch alles zusammensetzen, Halbperlen undd Mica flakes dazu und die Blume, die so gut zu dem Tutu passt, aufkleben. Als highlight noch ein paar Abschnitte gold rub ons drauf und fertig!
I started by painting the page with clear gesso. On the background I used a stencil and modeling paste, painted with the mist from the kit and white gesso. Another stencil I used with distress ink ground espresso and stamped with a script stamp and Archival Ink Potting Soil. I took some curtain cloth from my stash and colored it with the mist from the kit. I dried it with my heat tool and allowed the cloth to melt a bit. The wooden circles from the kit and the chipboard word I colored with the Prima ink pad from the kit and stamped with the same script stamp as I used on the background. I love, how they turned out! Now I put the page together, decorated with some of the half pearls from the kit and mica flakes from a former kit. The pretty flower is fitting perfect to the Tutu of the Ballerina! As a finishing touch I added some golden rub ons from my stash.

Altered Trinket Box for C´est Magnifique

Heute zeige ich euch mein kleines Setzkästchen, das ich für C´est Magnifique gemacht habe, zeigen. Ich habe es, passend zum Jahreskreis, österlich gestaltet.

 Today I want to share my little trinket box, I altered, with you. I decided to make a easter hanging.

Ich habe das Kästchen mit der wunderschön glitzernden Farbe aus dem Kit bemalt und ein wenig Akzente mit der auch enthaltenen Stempelfarbe und ein wenig Acrylfarbe aus meinem Fundus gesetzt. Danach ging´s ans Dekorieren. Ein paar Fliederzweige aus dem Garten sowie die schöne Quaste bilden den Rahmen.
I painted the box with the paint from the kit - it´s beautiful glimmery! The I added some interest with the Prima Ink Pad "Shabby Tote" from the kit and some acrylic paint from my stash. I decorated the boxes, glued some twigs from my garden and hanged the tazzle beside.

Layout "Picture Perfect" for C´est Magnifique in March

Hallo zusammen, schön, dass ihr reinschaut! Heute möchte ich euch mein zweites Layout für C´est Magnifique im März zeigen. Hier habe ich ein Foto von meinem Töchterchen verwendet. Besonders schön finde ich den Chipboard Ast .
Hello all, nice to have you here today! I want to share my second layout for C´est Magnifique in March with you. It is a springery one with a photo of my beloved daughter. The chipboard branch is so very beautiful, isn´t it?

Ich habe damit angefangen, die Seite mit Clear Gesso einzustreichen (von beiden Seiten, dann wellt sich das Papier nicht so). Als nächstes habe ich die Buchseiten aus dem Kit in Schnipsel gerissen und aufgeklebt. Danach durch eine Schablone Gel Medium auftragen und trocknen lassen, im Anschluss mit Ecoline watercolors Farbe colorieren, genauso wie die ausgestanzten Blüten. Danach kamen der schöne Chipboard Ast und die Schmetterlinge dran. Beides habe ich mit unterschiedlichen Embossingpulvern überzogen. In die Mitte der kleinen Körbchen noch eine Blüte und eine Halbperle setzen um das Ganze zu vervollständigen. Das Foto habe ich unterlegt und noch ein paar von den Holzzierteilen aufgeklebt.
I started by coating the paper with clear gesso, then I glued scraps of the book pages from the kit, added gel medium through a stencil and coloured the  dried background with ecoline watercolors, as I did with the diecut flowers. The beautiful chipboard branch and butterflies I heat embossed with different embossing powders. To the middle of the hanging baskets I added diecut flowers and embellished them with pearls from the kit. Gorgeous are also the wooden embellishments!

Layout "Timeless" for C´est Magnifique March Kit Butterfly Garden

Hallo zusammen, heute möchte ich euch mein erstes Layout mit dem tollen März Kit "Butterfly Garden" von C´est Magnifique Kits zeigen. Das Paket ist wunderbar, besonders die Papiere von Blue Fern Studio´s "Timeless" Kollektion sind wie für mich gemacht!
Mein erstes Layout zeigt den Regensburger Dom, den wir vor ein paar Jahren bei einer Klassenfahrt angeschaut haben - eine wirklich beeindruckende Kathedrale! 
Ich habe mich von den Arbeiten von Pascale B. inspirieren lassen, sie ist wirklich ein Meister im Verwenden von Bildern verschiedener Bauwerke.
Hello all, today and I want to share my first project, I made with the adorable C´est Magnifique March Kit "Butterfly Garden". I loved to work with this kit, especially the papers from Blue Fern Studio´s "Timeless" collection seems to be made for me personal ;-).

For my first layout I used a photo from the Regensburger Dom (Regensburg Cathedral), we visited with a class from our school some years ago. This is a very old and famous cathedral in Germany - and very impressing!

I was inspired by the gorgeous work of Pascale B., who is a master of scrapping pictures of buildings.

Angefangen habe ich, indem ich das Papier beidseitig mit Clear Gesso grundierte. Dann habe ich im Hintergrund durch eine Schablone Modellierpaste aufgetragen. Nachdem alles trocken war, habe ich die "Mauer" mit grauem Gelato und wasservermalbaren Buntstiften in schwarz, lila und flieder akzentuiert. Noch etwas stempeln, das Photo drapieren, mit ausgestanzten, bemalten Blättern, embossten Chipboards und den Metallringen sowie ein paar der tollen Blumen aus dem Kit dekorieren, zum Schluss noch ein paar Spritzer Gesso schwarz und weiß und ein paar Highlights - fertig!
First I gave the paper a coat of clear gesso, then I started with the background, where I added modeling paste through a brick stencil. After drying I coloured the "wall" with the grey gelato from the kit and detailed it with watercolor pencils in black, purple and lilac. Now followed some stamping and putting the photo in place. I embellished the whole thing with diecut leaves, which I colored, heat embossed chipboards, the metal rings from the kit and the gorgeous flowers, also included in the kit. Finally I sprincled some splashes with black and white gesso and highlighted some of the leaves.

C'est Magnifique Mixed Media Techniques and Tutorials Challenge

Hallo zusammen, schön, dass ihr vorbeischaut! Heute habe ich etwas Besonderes für euch! Bei C´est Magnifique gibt es eine neue Challenge. Es ist eine Mixed Media Challenge, bei der ihr ein Technikthema vorgegeben habt. Diesmal: Stencil Bump. Ihr könnt machen, was immer ihr mögt. Entweder ein Layout, eine Leinwand,eine Karte, etwas Verschönern, ..... was auch immer. Ihr müsst nur die Regeln beachten. Einfach, was? Vielleicht habt ihr ja Lust mitzumachen!
Ich habe zwei Beispielkarten und ein Technik Video gemacht, viel Spaß beim Anschauen!

How does it work and what are you asked to do?  Every month we will ask you to use a Mixed Media Technique, special art supplies, ......... well, stay curious, what we will bring you in future! We will show you a Technique Tutorial so you can easily imitate on your project.

And the best of all, it is an Anything Goes Challenge! That means you can create, whatever your heart desires - create a layout, canvas, card, altered project, OTP project, art journal page.......... whatever you want! Of course you can combine our challenges, you only have to follow the rules.

It´s really fun and easy, isn´t it?

December projects for C´est Magnifique!

kaum zu glauben, es ist tatsächlich schon Dezember!

Heute möchte ich euch meine Werke für C´est Magnifique Kits zeigen. Da der Dezember naturgemäß recht hektisch ist, präsentiere ich sie euch alle auf einen Rutsch. Ich hoffe, sie gefallen euch!

Hello dear blog friends, today with my projects, made with the adorable C'est Magnifique December kits and add-ons  "Victorian Holiday".

My first layout is a wintery one called "Angel". I only used the  Main Kit.

By sprikling much watered down Gesso, you can add a frosty feeling to your pages. A great way to brin a frosty look to your photos is to use the Tim Holtz Frosted Film from the Main Kit. It adds a beautiful icy shimmer and is really easy to use!

My next layout shows my big sister and me at the tender age of three and two years. 

In Germany on the 6th of December there comes Saint Nicholas to the children to have a look, if they were good the whole year. The brave ones are allowed to hold his rod - my sister was brave!

I used the Main Kit, the Mixed Media Kit, the Embellishment Add On and the Flower Add On.

My last layout is called 24. In Germany we celebrate chistmas at the 24th of December. We go to church in the afternoon and after dinner here in Bavaria the Christkind (christ child), not Santa Claus, puts all the presents under the chistmas tree. The family singing christmas songs, eat cookies and drink mulled wine and unpack the packages.
