Travelling Art Journal, #1 - DT project for Canvas Corp Brands

Hello all, 

today I have some exciting  news for you! 

Some girls of the Canvas Corp Brands Creative Crew send Art Journals around the world! Every month we all make an entry into one Journal of our teamies and send it to the next girl. So after 12 months we will hold a unique, wonderful and inspiring art journal in our hands. It´s so very coooool, isn´t it?!

You´ll find more informations about the idea on the CCB blog here.

Well, now you know what´s going on, now to my first entry.

I´ve made a little art journal from watercolor paper, stitched it together and created the first pages.

The pages are ispired by the imagination, that my art journal here from my little village in Bavaria goes on it´s journey around the world!

Here are some steps:

 First I layered papers, canvas stripes and tissue followed by glimmer mists

(you can find all the goodies I used on the CCB blog)

 Next step was to use several stencils with white Gesso...

 ....followed by several Glimmer Glams and Glimmer Glazes. After this I did a lot of doodling with white and black posca pens.

 Now I drew the image on top and painted all. 

 Now I embellished my pages with one of the new Architextures, some shrinked flowers and did some stamping. At last I added a stamped sentiment and sealed everything with fixative.

Curative Diary for Canvas Corp Brands August Challenge - Reha-Tagebuch für CCB August Challenge

Today I want to share my project, made for the August Challenge over at Canvas Corp Brands: Make a planner! 

Type of project: Make a calender, altered calendar, agenda or notebook – share how you stay organized, share a page, share the book, share how you put one together.
Colors: You need to use the color shades in the mood board pictured above. White and black are allowed as compliment.
Last day to enter: September 5

This is my take on the challenge.

This is a gift for a collegue, who is going to Curative stay. The title means curative diary.
I used one of the scrap packs, Glimmer Mists Red Chillies and Tattered Leather and Glimmer Glam Yellow.

Now I have some step x step photos for you:

This is how the notebook looked before.

I used a scrap pack, filled with many goodies to use!

I cut one of the included papers in size and covered the book. 

Here you can see how I treated the edges.

Time for some stenciling. I used Texture Glass and left it to dry.

and some Glimmer Glam Yellow.

The next step was not my very best idea. I thought, I should seal the surface with some varnish, but unfortunately the colours smeard a little bit. It looked better before. Next time I know..... ;-)

now I embellished the front....

and glued all down with matte medium (sorry, some steps I didn´t photograph)

That´s it! I think, my collegue likes it!

Es war bei mir in letzter Zeit ziemlich unruhig bei mir und ich hatte viel zu tun, deshalb komme ich erst jetzt dazu, es euch hier zu zeigen. Easter Picture in Reverse Glass Painting - Osterbild mit Hinterglasmalerei

Today I want to show you a little bit different project, I hope you like it.
Easter is near and spring peeks around the corner, so I wanted to create a light and happy picture for Canvas Corp Brands.
One easy and fun way to paint on glass with non glass paints is to use the reverse glass painting method!
Hallo zusammen, willkommen auf meinem Blog! Schön, dass ihr vorbei schaut.
Heute zeige ich euch ein etwas anderes Projekt, ich hoffe, es gefällt euch.
Ostern ist nah und ich wollte ein helles, freundliches Bild für Canvas Corp Brands gestalten. 
Eine einfache aber schöne Methode auf Glas ohne Glasmalfarben zu malen, ist die Hinterglasmalerei!

Ich zeige euch ein paar Schritt für Schritt Photos und wenn ihr mögt, könnt ihr euch auch mein Video ansehen.

 
Clean and dry your glass, then stamp a scene with StazOn Jet Black. Let the stamped images dry completely!
Nehmt ein sauberes, trockenes Glas und stempelt mit StazOn Jet Black eine Szene. Lasst die Stempelmotive komplett trocknen!

Add a thin layer clear Gesso on top.
Gebt eine dünne Schicht Clear Gesso darüber.

Dab slightly with a dry wipe over the Gesso until it has nearly dried. You will get a beautiful milky surface. Take care to dry completely before you go to the next step!
Nun tupft mit einem Tüchlein über das Gesso, bis es fast trocken ist. Ihr bekommt eine milchige Oberfläche. Lasst alles wieder gut trocknen!

Now coloring fun begins. Put some drops of your paints on your craft mat or a piece of foil. Place your different colors side by side, DON´T mix them!
Jetzt kommt die Farbe ins Spiel. Gebt einige Tropfen Farbe auf eure Unterlage oder ein Stück Alufolie. Die Farben sollen nebeneinander plaziert werden, aber mische sie nicht!

Take a foam roller and roll two or three times over the colors.They won´t mix, only blend together.
Nun mit einem Schaumstoffroller zwei- dreimal über die Farben rollen. Sie mischen sich nicht vollständig, nur ein wenig - das gibt einen zauberhaften Effekt!

Now roll carefully over your surface. You can go criss cross, but don´t press down too hard or roll over too often, otherwise there is the risk to replace the Gesso!
Rollert nun vorsichtig über die Glasoberfläche. Du kannst kreuz und quer rollern, drücke aber nicht zu stark auf und rolle nicht zu oft über die Fläche, sonst könnte sich das Gesso ablösen!

Now you can add another colors. You don´t have to clean your foam roll, the mix of the colors will give a beautiful color blending.
Jetzt kann man weitere Farben dazu geben. Dazu muss man die Rolle nicht auswaschen, es gibt einen schönen Effekt, wenn sich die Farben ein wenig mischen.

When you turn your glass, you will have a light and shiny surface, underlay your glass with a white paper and put it back in the frame.
Wenn man das Glas nun umdreht, hat man eine zarte, glänzende Oberfläche. Am besten sieht es aus, wenn man das Bild weiß hinterlegt. Jetzt kann es zurück in den Rahmen.

I colored some styrofoam eggs and embellished them, added a twig - ready is your Easter picture!
Ich habe noch ein paar Styroporeier angemalt und verziert und mit einem Zweig ergänzt - Fertig ist die Osterdeko!
